My lily pad series is my fondest creation to date. This collection of works embodies what I have always imagined my painting to be. Sophisticated; filled with rich colors. Whimsical; brush strokes that dance across the canvas. Versatile; pieces that can be enjoyed in any space.   

 

You may recognize a few of the Title names in this collection,  named after influential women in my life, some famous and some ordinary, but nonetheless just as impactful.

When I paint lily pads, I typically begin with a reference photo; however, once I have a good base, I let my instincts take control. Each canvas is filled with aesthetic decisions I have pondered or sporadically made, which is my favorite element of this collection. These paintings are inspired by things I have seen, images that have lingered in my mind and will live forever on canvas.
